Breakfast Drive - Kurrajong (Sunday, 29th August 2010)

With Spring just around the corner, the day was a prefect example of what’s to come.  After meeting at Macca’s in Bella Vista the team headed off onto some new roads around Annangrove and Pitt Town followed by a run up the Putty Road before cutting across to Kurrajong. The rural views and the coming of spring made for some great sights along the way.

Sassafras Creek Cafe’ lived up to its reputation as a wonderful venue with great food and coffee.  The local stores proved very popular with the ladies whilst the boys enjoyed great Audi focused conversations.

Luncheon Drive - Bilpin (Sunday, 25th July 2010)

Against a forecast of rain the day turned out to be crisp for the Drive from Bella Vista across some new roads before the final run up the Bells Line of Road from Kurrajong to Bilpin.  Slight showers greeted us for the last few kilometers but that didn’t detract from the overall drive.  The cooler weather was soon offset by the warmth of the Apple Bar Restaurant with its wonderful food and the open log fire.  The Apple Bar has a great atmosphere that is always enjoyed by those who attended this drive.  Most of the Cars pulled into the Apple Bowl on the run home to pick up some local produce and some of their excellent Apples pies...

Luncheon Drive - South Coast (Sunday, 20th June 2010)

With a back drop of the Grand Pacific Drive, the meeting point at the lookout at Stanwell Tops was the ideal starting point for our southern Highlands/South Coast drive and Lunch.  With some excellent driving roads ahead of us and the crisp morning air to feed the hungry engines the group moved off through Bulli Pass, Old Mt Keria Road, Jambaroo Road and the Kiama Bends.  After a brief stop in Kiama it was only a short drive along the coast to a very pleasant lunch at the Coolangatta Estate Winery.  At the Winery we were joined by Karen and Michael who had driven up from Canberra to join us. Another excellent event with good roads, and great company.
